If you had a SEGA Master System or a Mega Drive back in the day, you likely figured out at some point that you could turn the system on without a cartridge in to play the cool little platformer, Alex Kidd In Miracle World.

Well, like so many classic games these days, that early SEGA mascot is now getting a HD remaster, with Alex Kidd In Miracle World DX coming to PC and consoles, including the ol’ Switch.

Merge games are the studio behind the remake, which will include a brand new lick of paint, as well as new levels, a boss rush mode, and alternative boss fights. There’s also a retro mode so you can enjoy the original pixel art in all it’s glory.
