You may recall Ikumi Nakamura and Hideki Kamiya posting a video last year in which they expressed their desire to make a follow up to 2006’s Okami. Well, it turns out that Nakamura is taking steps to make that desire a reality.

In a new interview with IGN Japan (which you can watch, complete with translation, below), Nakamura reveals that she plans on pitching the game to Capcom once the world returns to some sort of normalcy following the coronavirus pandemic.

In the interview she expresses her hope that as long as she ‘goes for it’ then Capcom will give the go ahead. Whilst Nakamura says she’s not too fussed what role she plays in the sequel’s development, she says that Kamiya must return to his leading role in the game’s development.
