Nintendo Direct Mini Airing Today

Nintendo have just announced a new Nintendo Direct Mini that’s airing on 20 July, ie, later today!

The showcase will go live at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm UK and will feature updates on “a small group of previously announced” games headed to Switch.

The video is reportedly 10 minutes long, so between that and the fact the games being featured are all ‘previously announced’, we wouldn’t expect any major surprises.

We may well get release dates for the likes of Doom Eternal, Bravely Default 2 or Hollow Knight: Silksong. Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V has been completely missing since the Switch reveal all the way back in 2017 so an update on that would be welcome, and perhaps we’ll get news of a western release of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. A first look at Bayonetta 3 would be great too.

If we’re really going to stoke the hype flames, Retro Studios who are developing Metroid Prime 4 are described as a ‘partner’, but we’d be very surprised if that shows up. Especially given the controversy over last week’s Treehouse Live reveal.

You’ll be able to watch the Direct over on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. Let us know what you’re hoping to see down in the comments!
