Nintendo wrapped up today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase with the news that Ori and the Will of the Wisps is coming to the console today.

The follow up to Ori and the Blind Forest - which despite starting life as an Xbox exclusive came to Switch last year - will be available to download from the eShop following an update later.

The first game notoriously ran beautifully on Switch, and the trailer notes that the footage for the follow up was captured at 60fps on Switch.

As well as that news, a gorgeous looking collector’s edition was also announced, featuring physical copies of both games and a host of other artwork and goodies. The list includes:

  • Premium “Transforming” Display Box with Glow-in-the-Dark Finish

  • Majestic Stained Glass style Art Piece

  • “The Flora & Fauna of Ori” Field Guide

  • Sketchbook Zine, featuring rarely seen production art

  • Collectible Art Card Set

  • Hard Enamel, Glow-in-the-Dark Pin

  • Digital Download Cards for Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps soundtracks by composer Gareth Coker

  • Physical Editions of Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Ori and the Blind Forest, featuring Exclusive, Reversible Cover Art (Region Free - Worldwide Compatibility)

The set is currently available to pre-order from iam8bit.com for the handsome sum of $149.99. There’s no specific release date yet, but the site does say it will begin shipping in December.

Check out the trailer to see the game in action, as well as that stunning Collector’s Edition.
