New Info, Trailer And Characters Revealed For Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity
This article was originally written for TheNintendoVillage.com, a website I founded and ran from 2018 to 2021.
Tokyo Games Show featured the first look at Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity gameplay, and brought a host of new interesting details with it.
Chief among them is the news that a young Impa will be playable in the game. She was, of course, present in Breath of the Wild, albeit as a much older woman. With Age Of Calamity taking placed 100 years prior to the events of that game, we get to see her as a true badass, laying waste to waves and waves of Bokoblins.
Nintendo have shared a few cool shots of Impa in action too, check ‘em out:
As well as that, it was also revealed that players of Age of Calamity who have Breath of the Wild save data on their Switch (which we assume will be more or less everyone) will also receive a bonus Training Sword weapon. This is on top of the (now iconic) ladle that fans who pre-order the game will receive.
Finally, as well as the gameplay on show during the presentation, we also got a new trailer which re-introduces us to the four champions, Revali, Daruk, Mipha and Urbosa.
Here’s the trailer in question, let us know where your hype levels are at now down in the comments!
