One of our favourite things about Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS was all the lovely Nintendo-themed items, furniture and clothing you could acquire through fortune cookies at Nook’s Cranny. They’ve been sadly missing in New Horizons up until now, but Nintendo have announced that they’re rectifying that situation soon.

As part of the Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct today, the Big N revealed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be getting a bunch of Super Mario themed furniture items in March next year.

We’ve no idea what form those items will take, but in New Leaf we got a warp pipe, block, question mark block and super star amongst other things.

Fingers crossed we’ll get some cool Mario clothing items too!
