If you’re a fan of 3D platformers then you might well have your eye on Balan Wonderworld, the new game from Square Enix due to arrive later this year.

First showcased during a Nintendo Direct Mini last year the game is slated for a 26 March release date, but fans will be able to give the game a whirl before then, thanks to a demo that’s due to hit the eShop.

As revealed in the below tweet, the demo will be available to download from 28 January and will allow for both single player and two player, offline co-op if that’s your thing.

The game brings director Yuji Naka and character designer Naoto Ohshima together for the first time in 20 years, having previously teamed up to bring a little known mascot known as Sonic to life.
