New Pokémon Snap Will Support Online Play

We got a snazzy new trailer for New Pokémon Snap last week, along with a rather surprising release date of 30 April. Now we’ve got a little extra information courtesy of the game’s official webpage.
As well as confirmation of that launch date, we also now have a file size - 6.8GB - and pricing information. If you decide to go the digital route and download it from the Switch’s eShop, it’ll cost you £49.99 / $59.99. That price tag suggests that this will be a pretty meaty experience, aligned as it is with other major retail releases on the console.
All three game modes - docked, handheld and tabletop - are all supported, as is the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Meanwhile the confirmed languages are Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and (thankfully for us) English.
Interestingly, the listing suggests the game also supports Online Play, despite being listed as a single player only title. It will be interesting to see what online functionality (besides the also-listed Cloud Saves) make it into the game. Perhaps online leaderboards for your snap scores?
Let us know down in the comments what you’re hoping to see in the game!
