Nintendo Facing Another Joy-Con Drift Lawsuit

New year, new Joy-Con drift lawsuit. Nintendo was hit with a couple of class action lawsuits last year over the notorious Joy-Con drift issue, and another one has now been filed in Canada.
The problem, which sees Switch Joy-Con analogue sticks registering an input without any action from the player, has plagued a number of Switch owners over the past 4 years (this writer included) and has seemingly not been fully addressed by Nintendo as yet.
This has led to a number of lawsuits, the latest of which has been filed in Quebec, Canada by the law firm Lambert Avocat Inc, who allege that “the Joy-Con Drift constitutes an important, serious and hidden defect” and are seeking compensation from Nintendo accordingly.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa apologised for the ‘inconvenience’ of the issue during an investor briefing last summer, but other than that, Nintendo have remained fairly tight-lipped on the problem.
Lambert Avocat are awaiting authorization for the suit from a Superior court judge before it progresses.
