Monster Hunter: Rise is clearly one of the most eagerly anticipated Switch titles for early 2021, and that fact has cause Capcom to raise their financial forecasts for the year.
The Japanese publisher has raised it’s projections for the year from ¥85 billion ($792.9 million) to ¥92 billion ($890 million) - an increase of 8.2% - ahead of their Q3 earning’s report next week.
The company have done this in light of a number of factors, including pre-orders for the upcoming Monster Hunter title which it says “are off to a promising start.” The game currently has a demo available on the Switch eShop for players to test it out. Clearly it’s convincing a lot of them to take the plunge on the full experience due out on 26 March.
Capcom also mentioned “recent success in proactively growing digital sales” as a reason for the rise, along with solid sales for the remake of Resident Evil 3 and ongoing growth for Monster Hunter Word.
