Banjo-Kazooie composer would love to work on Cadence of Hyrule DLC

Musical maestro Grant Kirkhope — the mastermind behind the soundtracks to Banjo-Kazooie(still can’t believe they’re gonna be in Smash) and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle — has said he’d be open to working on music for Cadence of Hyrule.
Appearing on an episode of Miketendo 64’s podcast, Kirkhope said he’d “love to” work on Cadence of Hyrule if the offer ever came in to add some tasty licks to any DLC.
“It would be an honour. That Zelda theme is one of the best themes in videogames ever. It’s gonna last forever that theme… I’d do it in a heartbeat, of course I would.”
This isn’t the first time Kirkhope has expressed his love for the Zelda series, noting around the time Kingdom Battle launched that “to get to touch something like Zelda would be amazing.”
Here’s hoping that Cadence of Hyrule does indeed get some DLC, and Kirkhope gets his wish. We’re big fans of his work on the likes of Banjo-Kazooie and Yooka-Laylee, so it would be great to see what twist he could put on some classic Zelda arrangements.
