Ubisoft To Hold "E3-Style Showcase" In July

With E3 cancelled due to coronavirus concerns, there’s a number of initiatives from various outlets and developers floating around to help plug the gap.

IGN are hosting their own ‘Summer of Gaming’ coverage, whilst Geoff Keighley - the man behind The Game Awards - launches his Summer Game Fest today with the event’s first announcement.

Not every publisher is directly involved in these plans of course. One of those is Ubisoft, who have announced their own digital event for July.

As you can see from the above tweet, their ‘E3-style’ presentation will take place on 12 July at 12pm PT / 8pm UK and will feature news and game announcements from the publisher behind Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Starlink, Assassin’s Creed and more.

We wouldn’t be surprised if more and more publishers take this opportunity to move to a Nintendo Direct style of presentations, and the ‘Ubisoft Forward’ branding seems to suggest this won’t be the only time we see digital reveals from the publisher.

Let us know what you’re hoping to see from them down in the comments!
