There’s long been rumours of a revised ‘Switch Pro’ model hitting store shelves at some point, and now a new report out of Taipei suggests Nintendo are gearing up to release a new model at the beginning of 2021.

Citing sources involved in the manufacturing of Switch components including it’s storage and Joy-Con, the Economic Daily News suggests that the new model will feature upgraded “interactivity” and an improved display.

It’s alleged that the system will go into production later this year, targeting a Q1 2021 release window.

There’s been numerous rumours and reports suggesting similar things in the past of course which have yet to come to fruition. However, Switch’s 10.0.0 firmware update did appear to contain reference to a third model besides the OG Switch and the smaller Switch Lite.

We’ll naturally keep you posted if we hear anything more. In the meantime, let us know what you’d want to see from a Switch Pro model down in the comments!
